Gladys L. Armstrong, age 83 of Maryville passed away Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Fairpark Health Care Center. She was member of Mascot Baptist Church and a past member of Mascot Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by: husband, William C. “Bill” Armstrong. Son, William Lafayette Armstrong. Parents, Mary and Fate Roach. Brothers, Paul Roach, Fate Roach Jr., and John David Roach. Sisters, Kathleen Wilkinson, Martha Lou Roach, and Johnie Kathryn Roach. Survivors include: Daughter, Brenda Cook of Maryville. Daughter and son-law, Patty and Tom Tarver of Fayetteville, GA. Granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Valerie and Joe Bales of Knoxville. Granddaughter, Emily Tarver of Austin, TX. Grandsons, Larry D. “Bucky” Cook II of Newnan, GA., Tommy Tarver of Nacogdoches, TX.. Great- granddaughter, Lauren Bales. Sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Roy Wampler of Chattanooga. Brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Helen Roach of Knoxville. Special sister-in-law, Mary Roach of Knoxville. Numerous nieces and nephews. Guardian Angel, Flo Whitehead. Beloved Friends, Judy and Dean Courtenay of Canada. A Memorial Service will be 4:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2002 at McCammon-Ammons- Click Chapel. The family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday at McCammon- Ammons Click Funeral Home.
