Ginger Stinnett Larose

September 28, 1966 — July 15, 2018

Ginger Stinnett LaRose of Maryville, age 51, went to be with the Lord surrounded by friends and family on July 15, 2018 in Knoxville. She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church in Maryville and previously of St Lukes in Dunwoody, Georgia. Gingers ambition and calling in life was to be a wife and mother. Because she was also an overachiever, she wasnt just good at her chosen vocation -- she was a Rock Star Mom and Wife. Miraculously, she gave her family her all, but still had an infinite supply of patience, wisdom and love to give her many friends. Her warm heart, sense of humor and selfless spirit were gifts to everyone around her. She lifted us all up and made us better. When her children were growing up, she traveled almost every weekend with them to golf, soccer, and volleyball tournaments. She kissed boo-boos, big and small, refereed many sibling rivalries, and gently and wisely guided her babies on the path to becoming amazing adults. Her husband Brian would say that she also helped him become an adult, and for 32 years, she taught him every day -11,846 days to be exact -- what it means to be loved completely and unconditionally. She loved hiking in the Smoky Mountains and appreciated wildflowers, hummingbirds, songbirds, sunsets, beautiful scenes and waterfalls. She was an adventurer at heart, and always took her dog, Dooley, with her. Ginger loved cooking, listening to music, watching classic movies, her pets, soccer, classic cars, going for drives, and gardening. She wasnt just a gifted mother, wife and friend; she was also an artist and humanitarian, advocating for childhood education, childrens rights, equality, justice and peace. She worked as an office manager for a law firm, a Girl Scout Leader, board member for a family literacy program, school volunteer and advocated for a cancer survivor network. In everything she did, Ginger loved and gave herself completely. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Stinnett of Loudon, TN and grandparents Lester Edward Dibkey and Ellen Flora Apt. Ginger is survived by her husband Brian of Maryville; sons Cameron Joseph LaRose and John Edward Gray LaRose, daughter Gabriella Nicole LaRose; mother Judy Dibkey Stinnett and brother Robert (Melissa) Stinnett of Loudon. The family has set up a non-profit foundation to continue and grow the causes she loved and for which she worked. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the LaRose Family Foundation at larosefoundation.org. A celebration of her wonderful life will be held at New Providence Presbyterian Church, 703 West Broadway Avenue. Maryville, TN 37801, on Friday, July 20th at 2 p.m. All who loved and appreciated her are welcome.
