Geraldine Goddard Hancox

HANCOX, Geraldine Goddard, age 84 of Alcoa, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was a 70 year member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, having joined January 1, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Blaine and Olah Delle Paine Goddard. Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Robert Andrew Hancox, Jr.; sister, Agnes Goddard Compton; son, Robert Andrew Hancox, III and wife Regina of Walland; daughter, Kathie H. Gross and husband Michael of Maryville; grandsons, Gregory Michael Gross, Jonathan Andrew Gross and wife Amy, Robert Andrew Hancox, IV, David Edward Hancox; great granddaughter, Rowan Elizabeth Gross; niece, Beverly Fint and husband Don; nephew, David Compton; great niece, Hope Garner; great nephew, Davy Compton; honorary daughters, Alice Johnston, Beverly Davis, Donna Spears and Jackie Woodby; honorary son, Michael Byrd. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home followed by a 7:00 p.m. memorial service with Jonathan Gross giving a brief eulogy.
