George Robert Smith

SMITH, George Robert, age 81 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at Shannondale of Maryville Healthcare. He was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church, was a veteran of World War II, retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Smith. Survivors include his wife, Jean Morton Smith of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, G. Robert and Elizabeth Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Miles W. and Nancy Smith of Atlanta, GA, William R. and Barbara Smith of Tampa, FL; 14 nephews; 3 nieces. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at New Providence Presbyterian Church with Dr. Emily Anderson officiating. A private family interment service will be held.
