George R. (Bob) Blankenship

George R.Bob Blankenship age 81 of Friendsville passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the family home. He was an active member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and retired from ALCOA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Louise Blankenship; mother and step-father, Josephine and Ben Blankenship; foster parents, George and Flora Tipton; sister, Sue Renfro; brother, Charles Blankenship; foster sisters, Anne Estes and Nina Creech. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David and Amy Blankenship; sons, Steve Snappy Blankenship and Bill Blankenship; grandchildren, Lauren, Will, Alex, Eva Blankenship and Kate Barnett; brother, Kenneth Blankenship; sisters, Bernice Mills and Linda Garren; foster brother, Larry B. Frank; foster sister, Gwen Owen The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and funeral services to follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Allen Tyler officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00am Wednesday at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt.
