George Nathan Clark, Sr. age 77, passed away at his home Friday, April 19, 2013. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired after 34 years of service from the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller. He was a member and deacon at Everett Hills Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lynnwood & Mary Clark, his sisters, Marilyn Lafely, Jeannie Belshe, Patricia Davis, Erin Streater, Carol Thousand, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arthur & Carrie Mae Brown, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Berrong, Phyllis Jones, and brother-in-law, Arthur Brown, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Wanda Brown Clark, son, George N. Clark, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, daughter, Candace Clark Brown (Matthew), grandchildren, Madison, Adam & Jonathan Brown of Richmond, VA and brother, Lynn Clark (Dorothy) of Beaumont, Texas, sister-in-law, Linda Brown Ellis (Larry), Maryville, TN brother-in-law, James G. Brown of Marietta, GA and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. A service will immediately follow with Rev. Charles Ballard & Rev. Doug Hayes officiating. The interment will take at Grandview Cemetery on Tuesday at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blount Memorial Hospice or Everett Hills Baptist Church.
