George Albert Carpenter

George Albert Carpenter, age 69 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, George (Burley) and Edna King Carpenter; brother-in-law, Jerry Paige. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Wilma June and Jack Weaver of WV; sister, Evelyn Paige of Maryville; one niece; 5 nephews; special friends at Douglas Cooperative and Douglas Cooperative Group Home who knew him as Sheriff George. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Easter officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Middlesettlements Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
