Jean†Geneva Houston Bailey left her home at Morning View Village July 24th for her eternal home in heaven. She was 96 years old. Jean was preceded in death by parents, Bob and Ella Houston; husband, Claude T. Bailey; daughter, Mary Nell Hodge; grandsons, Rodney Lynn Pierce, Shannon Claude Reagan and Richard Reagan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Elenor Houston, Robert L. and Leona Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jo and S. M. McClellan; sister, Velma Wallace and brother-in-law, Aubrey Phelps; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen and Clemmer Smith, Stella and Leon Best, Pauline and John Morton, Howard and Mildred Bailey, Ralph and Johnnie Bailey. She is survived by children, Jean D. Pierce, Charlotte J. Reagan and husband Jack, Dale H. Bailey and wife Pat; sisters, Maxine Humphrey and husband Cecil, Jackie Phelps; brother-in-law, Bill Wallace. She is survived by and fondly remembered as “Mother Bailey†by her 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, special friends at Fairview United Methodist Church, her family at Morning View Village and special neighbors for more than forty years, Herbert and Louise Bunch. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2508 Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
