Gail Law Bowman Gail Law Bowman, 58, of Knoxville, passed away at home, surrounded by loving family on Saturday, July 24, 2010, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Gail was an avid Vols fan and book reader, collector, and expert. She was a book review contributor to several online forums and blogs and had quite a reader following. Gail was a compassionate animal lover and a generous supporter of children’s educational charities. Gail was employed by Anderson Companies. She was preceded in death by her father, Allen “Blondie” Law. Survivors include husband, Ken Bowman; daughter, Abigail Bowman; mother, Betty Jo Law; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Elaine, Joe and Lea Anne, and Jeff and Jackie of Maryville; brothers-in-law and wives, Don and Dianna Bowman of Etowah and Sam and Carol Bowman of Niota. She was loved by several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may drop by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville on Monday, July 26, 2010. A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service Tuesday, In lieu of flowers, Gail requested donations be made to your favorite library or animal shelter.
