G. B. Tulloch

TULLOCH, G. B., age 78 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He attended Binfield United Methodist Church, was a veteran of World War II, was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Service Club. Mr. Tulloch was an accomplished musician and active in many bluegrass music activities, including the Smoky Mountain Ramblers. Mr. Tulloch was also a former member of the Blount County Wagon Train Association and was known for his love of and talent with mules, including being featured on The Heartland Series and in numerous regional newspaper and magazine articles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odna and Ella Chapman Tulloch and by his mother-in- law and father-in-law, O. L. and French Carpenter Clark. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Irma Clark Tulloch; daughters and husbands, Becky Tulloch Bowman and Dennis Bowman of Atlanta, GA and Martha Tulloch Doss and Barry Doss of Lafayette, TN; 5 grandchildren, Chloe and Nicholas Bowman and Jacob, Elijah and Lydia Doss; 2 sisters, Thelma Waters and Elizabeth Bivens; brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Odell Tulloch all of Maryville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob and Chris Clark, Kenneth and Betty Clark all of Maryville, Inez and Odra Turner of Knoxville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Hokaj officiating. The interment will follow in Carpenters Cemetery.
