Freda E. Gillespie

Freda E. Gillespie, age 89 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2003, at Asbury Acres Health Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville and was retired from Watson’s Department Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Martin Gillespie; father and mother, George R. and Myrtle Farr Hammontree; sister, Mary Lawson; and brother, Robert Hammontree. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joe R. and Lois Carroll of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Georgia Ann and George Graves of Friendsville; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Mausoleum for an entombment service with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.
