Frank Toomey

Frank Toomey, 92 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 31st. He was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Navy and spent his lifetime building houses all over Blount County. When he was still able, he enjoyed attending church. Gardening was a favorite hobby along with spending time in the woods hunting. He is preceded in death by his precious wife of 45 years, Wilma Thomas Toomey. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Carson Tipton of Walland, Joan and Joby Kirkland of Lenoir City, and Debbie and Ken Capar of Greensburg, PA; grandsons and wives, Matthew and Lindsay Tipton of Washington DC, Blake and Jennifer Tipton of Maryville, Christopher and Stephanie Verosky of Greenoch, PA, and Shawn and Amber Verosky of West Mufflin, PA; great grandchildren, Raelynne Grace and Callan Rose Tipton of Maryville, Carson Duke Tipton of Washington DC, and Aiden Eric Verosky of West Mufflin, PA. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff on 1 North at Asbury Place for their love, concern, and faithful care. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at Ellejoy Baptist Church Cemetery, Seymour, with Rev. Scott Huffstetler officiating.
