Frank C. Buttler, Sr. was born in Mexico Feb 25, 1930. He grew up near Dallas, TX, served in the US Navy for 4 years on the USS Wright during the Korean War, and married Jean DiGennaro in 1954. They made their home in Birmingham, AL and he sang Barbershop music in many quartets and choruses. His favorite quartet was Matthew & Company which included his two sons, Frank and John, and grandson Matthew. He touched many lives through music and his church family. He was called Dad by many, as well as Daddio, Papacito and Peepa.
He is predeceased by his parents, George Buttler and Carlotta Buttler, and brother George Buttler. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean, brother Billy Buttler and Joe Buttler (Diana), sister Grace Villalobos (Charlie), children Frank Buttler, Jr. (Kathy), John Buttler (Karen), and Charlotte (Buttler) Chance. His 5 grandchildren called him Peepa - Mary Grace Taylor (Ben), Patrick Morgan (Emily), Matthew Buttler, Rebecca Buttler (Ben) and Laura Allen (Chris). He also had 5 great-grandchildren - Nora Taylor, Charlie Taylor, Violet Taylor, Bradley Morgan and Evie Morgan.
