Frances Hackney Gregg Brickell

Brickell, Frances Hackney Gregg, age 93 of Friendsville, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was retired from the Blount County School System having taught for 49 years. She was a lifelong member of Friendsville Friends Meeting. She is preceded in death by her husband, John O. Brickell, brothers, Hugh Blaine Gregg, Robert Griff Gregg; sister, Mary Katherine Gregg French; 1 great niece and 1 great nephew. She is survived by nieces, Frances Evelyn Hill, Barbara Lou Cunningham, Nancy Ann Morgan, Betty Blaine Ridenour, Ann Katherine Tyler, Betty Brient Kittrell; nephews, Jack Gregg French, R. Michael French, Phillip J. French, Robert Lee Greg, James Hugh Gregg “Jim” and 25 great nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Friendsville Friends Meeting with Larry Fowler and Scott Knight officiating. The interment will follow at Unitia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
