Floyd ''Preacher'' E. Headrick

HEADRICK, Floyd E. “Preacher”, age 90 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2003. He recently had a birthday celebration with over 150 family and friends. He was employed with ALCOA, Inc. for 14 years and then moved to Ohio where he worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber. He retired from Goodyear with 28 years of service and moved back to Maryville in 1979. He enjoyed his retirement being “Papaw Preach” to many, visiting family and friends and helping those in need. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie L. Raper Headrick; parents, Pleas and Mary Headrick; brothers, Martin, Marshall (Dude), J. T., Raymond, George and Elmer along with sisters, Pauline and Kathleen. He is survived by his sister, Anna Bell Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Bill McCammon of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, James Ronald and Mae Headrick of Clinton, OH; several sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Clark’s Grove Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Hardin and Rev. Wayne Friday officiating.
