Florence Lockridge

Florence Lockridge, age 89, born in Marshall, Missouri to William Yewell and Florence Patterson Lockridge died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. After graduating from Eastman School of Music, Florence lived in Kansas City and worked for the Institute of Community Studies, Midwest Research Institute, and the Public Health Service. Her musical interests included membership in Mu Phi Epsilon and Maryville Music Club, flutist in the Kansas City Community Orchestra, and attending many concerts. Florence moved to Maryville, Tennessee in 2002 to be near her niece's family, Janet and Dale Harvey. She enjoyed her neighbors living at Regal Tower on the Greenway. She appreciated assistance from family and the kindness of her caregivers with Extended Family Services. The family also appreciates support from Blount Memorial Hospice. Through the years Florence enjoyed time with her eleven nieces and nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her siblings Bill, Liz, Kitty, and John. A graveside memorial will be in Marshall, Missouri at a future date.
