June 13, 1911 — March 27, 2002

Ferris F. Long age 90 of Maryville, formerly of Sweetwater passed away Wednesday March 27, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was owner of Service Lumber Co. of Sweetwater. He was a member and Sunday school teacher at Sweetwater United Methodist Church and a former school teacher. He was preceded in death by: wife, Myrtle Graves Long and brothers Raymond, Marvin and J.D. Long. Survivors include: wife, Emma Lee Long. Daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Bobby Richesin of Sweetwater, Priscilla and Charles McKinney of Knoxville. Grandsons, Michael Richesin of Sweetwater, and Todd Richesin of Knoxville. Sisters, Marjorie Purkey and Ernestine Daughtery. Step-children, Tom and Francis Clark of Alcoa. Bob and Valerie Clark of Georgia. Susan and Steve Mull of Maryville. Several step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2002 at McCammon-Ammons- Click Chapel with Dr. Charles Bailey officiating. Mr. Long donated his body to medical science and the family request memorial donations instead of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Sweetwater United Methodist Church or to a favorite charity.
