Evelyn Wallace Humphrey

Evelyn Wallace Humphrey - age 87 of Maryville, loving mother and devoted grandmother passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville and attended Clover Hill Presbyterian Church. She was a volunteer with the Blount Memorial Hospital Auxiliary with 28 years of service and with the Hospital Auxiliary Quilters with 13,585 hours served. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie L. Humphrey; parents, W.H. and Edith Wallace; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Grace Humphrey; sister-in-law, Velma Wallace; brother-in-law Paul Everett Humphrey; brother-in-law and wife, C.T. and Mary Charles Humphrey; granddaughter-in-law, Christian Humphrey. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Becky Humphrey of Titusville, FL, Mark and Carol Humphrey, Tony and Macheala Humphrey all of Maryville; grandchildren, Missy Mohr and husband Jeff of Charlotte, NC, Christa McGhee and husband Roger of Friendsville, Sarah Holmes and husband Shawn of Sorrento, FL, Paul Humphrey of Titusville, FL, Kyna Walker and husband Larry, Whitney Gratz and husband Will all of Maryville, Lee Humphrey of Ulm Germany, Rachel Humphrey of Maryville; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Wallace of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Hubert Cotter of Maryville, Barbara and Charles Rickard of Tuscaloosa, AL; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be 7:30 P.M. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Gilliland officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Maryville, Clover Hill Presbyterian Church, Family Promise, or the the Blount Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
