Evelyn Holloway Ousley - age 94 of Maryville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at Chestnut House of Asbury Place. She was a dedicated member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church. She served as Past Worthy Matron of the Martha Washington Chapter #231, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a long-time member of the Alcoa Garden Club, United Methodist Women, Red Hatters, Farm Bureau, and AARP. She was a licensed beautician. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Arthur Holloway, Sr., and Mamie Dickerson Holloway; husband of 68 years, Ralph Lea Ousley, Sr.; son, Ralph Lea Ousley, Jr.; brother, James Arthur Holloway, Jr.; sister, Dolores Holloway Bettis; great-grandchild, Caleb Ousley Naseman. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Larry and Darlene Ousley of Bristol, TN; Dr. Ben Roy and Emily Ousley of Lawndale, NC; Rev. John W. and Dr. Lisa Ousley of Johnson City, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Janice Ousley Willocks and David Willocks of Lenoir City, TN; and daughter-in-law, Linda Ousley (Lea) of Clinton, TN; grandchildren, Jamie Ousley, Jennifer Ousley, Karen Newsom, Randi Biggs, Chase Biggs, Loren Biggs, Benjamin Ralph Ousley, Carrie Richardson, Sarah Overman, Jonathan Willocks, Justin Willocks, Michael Lea Ousley, Mark Ousley, Justin Lineberry, and Austin Lineberry, and great-grandchildren, Henry, Milo, Victoria, Paul, Selah, Chayton, Aya, Dakotah, Levi, Caroline, Gabriela, Noah, Alex, Lukas, Amina, Ethan, Emma, Liam, Gavin, Avalina, Grant, Maria, Isabella, Ian, Wyatt, Noah, William Henry, Emmett; sisters-in-law, Sue Harveston Holloway and Edna Ousley Hutchens. W.C. Thornton was a very special friend. The family is very appreciative of all the special caregivers in the last few years of our mothers life, especially Sandra Betts. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Alcoa First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Building Fund at Alcoa FUMC, 617 Gilbert Street, Alcoa, TN 37701; MS Society; or American Cancer Society.
