Eva Mae Shields

Eva Mae Shields, age 94 of Townsend, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Townsend Church of God and was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus H. and Maggie Walker Cobb; husband, Perry Abbott Shields; son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Bobby) Perry Shields, Sr., and Glenda Shields; siblings, Zenobia Wylie and Bernice Gregory. Survived by her siblings, John and Sandra Cobb, Robert and Diana Cobb, Jeff and Linda Cobb, Linda and Robert Caldwell; children, John (Buzzy) and Linda Shields of Charleston, SC, Edith and don Abbott, Richard Shields and Linda Caylor, Mike (Rosie) Shields and Teresa Frye; grandchildren, Robert (Bob) Perry Shields, Jr., Troy Shields, Karen Clark, Terri Shields, Vicky Daniel, Darla Bush, Teresa Hackworth, Paula Abbott, Ricky Shields, Kevin Shields, David Shields; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with services to follow with Rev. Ronnie Hepperly officiating. Family and friends will meet at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Bethel Cemetery in Townsend for a candlelight service.
