Estel Gladys Snoderly, 103, born July 28, 1908, in the Loyston community of Union County, died September 22, 2011 at her home. When the Norris Dam was built in 1935, she moved with her family to her present home in Blount County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Maryville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin and Mary M. Stooksbury; husband of 57 years, Ruben Lee Snoderly; brother, Clemie Stooksbury; nephew, Clayton Daniel Stooksbury and grandson-in-law, Peter Day. She is survived by her two children, Mary Lee Coleman and husband Edward Eugene Coleman of Maryville, TN and Dr. Robert Mack Snoderly and wife Rebecca Buchanan Snoderly of Clyde NC; grandchildren, Lockie A. Coleman-Day of Kingsport, TN, Lucy Jean Coleman Nash and husband William Joseph Nash, III of Maryville, TN, Anna Beth Snoderly Mills and husband William Ambrose Mills, III of Asheville, NC, Laura Lee Snoderly and fiancé Nathan Crooms of Raleigh, NC; great grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Nash of Maryville, TN, Candice Michelle Nash of Maryville, TN and twins, Kathrine Elizabeth Mills and William Ambrose Mills, IV of Asheville, NC; nephews and nieces, John Brickey Stooksbury, Mary Alice Stooksbury Combs, Reba Jane Snoderly Whitson, Jerry Grant Snoderly, Jane Snoderly Joyce; sisters-in-law, Vola Caylor Stooksbury and Ruth Trout Snoderly. The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Pastors Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating.
