Essie Lee Harris

HARRIS, Essie Lee, age 78, went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2003. “Essie” was well known for her 28 years service at the Roundup Restaurant in South Knoxville. She was still working until the time of her illness. Essie resided at 511 Wade Circle, Maryville, TN. However, due to a lengthy illness she resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Shan and Elizabeth, 410 Mountainview Road, Madisonville, TN. Ms. Harris is survived by her only son, Shan Harris and wife Elizabeth of Madisonville; granddaughters, Heather and Carrie Harris; grandsons, Michael Halley, Nathan, Jonathan and Patrick Norris all of the surrounding Maryville area. She is also survived by brother, A. E. Bonnow, Jr.; sisters, Delores Hall and Ruby Mouser of Sarcoxie, MO; close friend, Shirley Harris of Maryville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2003, in McCammon-Ammons- Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Standfield officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. Per Ms. Harris’ request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Monroe County Relay for Life 2003 of the American Cancer Society.
