Ernest Cecil Bryant

Ernest Cecil Bryant 80, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many, went home to be with the Lord on September 22nd, 2024 in Maryville. He was born on May 14th, 1944 in the same town he called home throughout his life.

Ernest's passing leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Vicki Moore Bryant, mother Annie Buchanan and brother Charles Bryant. Ernest is survived by his daughters Joey Collins (Gary), Kim Dockery, Robin Ogle and Darlene Bryant; grandchildren Gary, Chris,(Jeannie) Kayla, Gabriel (Destiny) Collins, Taylor & Jacob Dockery, Ronnie, Zac and Tori Ogle: great-grandchildren Talon, Georgie, Khyla, Colton, Gabriel Ernest Jr, Lhyla and brother Donald Sherman (Carolyn) Bryant; several nieces and nephews; as well as special lifelong friends Bill Bales, Bob Millsaps and Clell Sparks.

Ernest dedicated much of his life to serving the Lord and being a Deacon. He worked at Levi’s and Rubbermaid before retiring. He loved his family. He found joy in spending time with his wife and family. 

In addition to being a devoted family man, Ernest had a passion for westerns and the beach – two things that brought him immense happiness throughout his life.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported them during this difficult time over the last year – your kindness did not go unnoticed. A special thank you to Charlie Roberts, Tori Brown, Jacob & Jayden Reedy, Scott Holloway, and Florida Friends. 

On Thursday September 26th the family will be receiving friends from 5pm to 6pm with Memorial service to follow with Bishop Jordan Amburn officiating at Family Christian Fellowship (1017 Doll Ave Maryville, Tennessee) 

Ernest's presence will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. Mostly by his daughters who never left his side.
