Emily E. Smith

Emily E. Smith, age 94, of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2007, at Trinity Community in Beavercreek, OH. Emily Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Marion L. Smith. Survivors include son, Dr. Edward D. Smith and his wife Mary of Flat Rock, NC; daughter, Marian S. Rodgers and her husband Glenn of Beavercreek, OH; grandchildren, Michael and Monica Smith of Flat Rock, NC, James and Thomas Rodgers of Beavercreek, OH. Emily Smith was born in 1912 at Owens Ferry in Camden County, GA. She attended Georgia Wesleyan College, the University of Georgia, and graduated from the University of Tennessee, with a degree in institutional management. She was an active member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church, the Chilhowee Club, and the American Contract Bridge League. She was an avid bridge player, having achieved the rank of Silver Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2nd, 2007, from 5:00-7:00 pm at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 2:00 pm Saturday, February 3rd, at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Joe Green officiating.
