Elmer Sharp

SHARP, Rev. Elmer., age 78 of Knoxville entered Heaven on August 13th following a very brief illness with colon cancer. He was a member of Holston Baptist Church and devoted his life to serving the Lord as Pastor and Interim Pastor of several churches throughout Knox, Blount, Anderson, Sevier, and Jefferson counties. He served the Lord faithfully for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley; his mother and father, Rosey and Miller Sharp; sister, Vonnette Bright and brother, CP Sharp. His family includes his wife of 56 years, Lois Fair Sharp. Daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Ralph Long of Maryville; Elmeria and Kenne Teffeteller of Alcoa. Son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jill Sharp of Maryville. Grandchildren, Kendra Teffeteller and Morgan and Stan Sharp. Brother, Troy Sharp and his wife Marsha. The family will receive friends 5:00 -8:30 PM Sunday, August 15th, 2004 at Holton Baptist Church, 1012 Andrew Johnson Highway. Burial will be Monday, August 16th at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery,7426 Asheville Hwy Knoxville, TN 37924 at 3:30 PM with a Praise & Celebration Service to follow at 4:30 PM at Holston Baptist Church.
