Ellen McGinn Womersley of Maryville, TN and formerly of Janesville, Wisconsin and Prince Georges County, Maryland, has passed away after a fierce, but mercifully short battle with cancer.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 51 years, Patrick Womersley; and their four children, Erin Hoffman (Brett) of Sun Prairie, WI, Adam Womersley (Kelly) of Roseville, MN, Lisa Womersley of Denver, CO, Kelly Cook of Illinois. Also surviving Ellen are her granddaughters, Zoey Hoffman, Olivia Womersley, Claire Womersley; grandsons, Tyler Cook, Henry Cook. Ellen was predeceased by her father, Bill; her mother, Elsie; her brother, Mike.
Ellen’s Dream in life was becoming a Nurse and started volunteering as a “Candy Striper” when she was 14. After graduating, Ellen was an RN for 37 years. Ellen was an avid gardener growing her favorite “Lily Hill” from nothing to over 300 lilies. Ellen was a painter, a maker of Custom Gift Cards, of Medical Bags for mastectomy patients, and of Children’s Bankets for Project Linus.
