Ella Marie Hammontree

HAMMONTREE, Ella Marie, age 89 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, having joined in 1947, where she was a member of the Young Sunday School Class, an active member of the United Methodist Women and was a Sunday School teacher in the 4 year old department for over 20 years. She was an active member of the Hospital Auxiliary for 25 years and had been employed with South Central Bell in the late 30's and early 40's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Alexander Hammontree and parents, James A. and Ersie Mae Mills Dixon. Survivors include: children, Jerry Hammontree and wife Ann Dixon Hammontree, Patricia Ingram and husband Dr. John Ingram, III; grandchildren, Bart Hammontree, Aaron Hammontree, John Ingram, IV and Amanda Ingram; great granddaughter, Isabella Hammontree. Family and friends will meet at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. Darris Doyal and Rev. Sterling Turner officiating.
