Elizabeth Kelley Padgett

Elizabeth Kelley Padgett - age 93 of Alcoa went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 3 at her home after a very courageous battle with cancer. Elizabeth was a long time member of Peoples Tabernacle and of Bungalow United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Trula Ann Kelley; step-mother, Ethel Sue Kelley; husband, John M. Padgett; step-brothers, Reece Armstrong, Olin Armstrong, and Kenneth Armstrong. Survivors include her son, Bill Padgett of Alcoa; sister-in-law, Edith Padgett of Athens; brother-in-law, Hoyt Padgett of Oak Ridge; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many special friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to all friends and family who have called, visited and sent cards, also special thanks to Blount Home Health Care and Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 4 P.M. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Maryville. The family will also receive friends Sunday from 1 to 2 P.M. at Mars Hill United Methodist Church in McMinn County with funeral services to follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. William C. Bennett officiating. The interment will follow in Mars Hill Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bungalow United Methodist Church.
