Elizabeth Ann ''Betty'' Willocks Goddard

December 20, 1933 — July 16, 2010

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Willocks Goddard, 76, born December 20, 1933 of Greenback went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Friday morning, July 16, 2010. A lifetime member of Nelson Chapel Church of Christ, Betty positively influenced numerous children as their Sunday School teacher. As an active member of the Greenback Community, she served as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Troop Leader, a volunteer 4-H Leader for Greenback School, and most recently as a member of the Greenback Community Club. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Lillie Belle Butler Denton and William H. and Ollie Van Howard Willocks, parents, Otis and Lola Denton Willocks, great-niece, Riley Elizabeth Willocks, and nephew, Stanley Dale Felty. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Roy L. Goddard and children, Teresa Goddard, Roger Goddard, Ramona Goddard Best and favorite son-in-law, Stanley Boyd Best, Jr. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Casey Danielle Best and Ryan Boyd Best all of Maryville. She also leaves behind her brothers and their wives, Don and Mary Willocks of Dandridge and Bruce and Joann Willocks of Maryville as well as nephew Scott and Heidi Willocks of Dandridge. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel. Family and friends will meet 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson Chapel Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to charities: Komen Knoxville and East Tennessee Children’s Hospital both located in Knoxville.
