Elinor G. Shrum

SHRUM, Elinor G., age 84 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2003, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was born in Chicora, PA on December 18, 1918. She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church and was very active in volunteer programs throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her father, George Franklin Grubb and mother, Hazel Pearl Grubb both of Youngstown, OH; sister, Olive Gustavison; granddaughter, Michelle Cole and her grandparents on both sides. Survivors include: husband, Capt. Dwight L. Shrum of Maryville, TN; son, Richard C. Shrum and wife, Estelle of Merritt Island, FL and their two children, Michael R. Shrum and wife Stacy of Charleston, WV and Erica Hackworth and husband Dwight of St. Augustine, FL; daughter, Barbara J. Cole and husband Harry Cole of Sterling Heights, MI and their son, Kenneth of Clinton Township, MI and great granddaughter, Jordan M. Cole; son, Donald D. Shrum of Santa Barbara, CA and sons, Andrew and Jeffery; sister, Betty Brown of Steubenville, OH. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at New Providence Presbyterian Church with Rev. Phil Bembower and Rev. Clarence Durham officiating. The entombment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Grandview Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN.
