Elaine Suttles Gibbs

Elaine Suttles Gibbs, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 5th in Athens, TN. A long time resident of Maryville, Elaine worked at Kroger and retired after several decades. Elaine was an avid reader and could often be found with her nose in a book. She also loved country music, sharing her love of music with her family, she attended the Foothills Fall Festival every year that it took place. Having been born in Sevierville, Elaine had a deep love for our Smoky Mts. and enjoyed mountain drives. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry O. Gibbs, and her parents, Arthur and Edna Suttles.

She is survived by three children, Jerry B. Gibbs, Julie Gibbs, and Jerris Gibbs; siblings, Ronnie Suttles and spouse Jackie, Donna Uzzel and spouse Joe; grandchildren, Brian and Reba Gibbs; daughter-by-heart, Beth Williams; several nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered by all as the sweetest, most generous woman in the world.

The family will receive friends from 4:30-6:30 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Grandview Cemetery.
