Edward Patterson Deere

Edward Patterson Deere - age 89 of Maryville passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Wellington Place. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville where he taught the High School Sunday School Class for 40 years. He was a retired Blount County Agriculture Extension Agent and received many awards while he was working and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Jack Deere; sisters, Evelyn Buck, and Patty Thompson. Survivors include his wife, Mabel England Deere of Maryville; Sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Libby Deere of Murfreesboro, TN, Dr. Randy and Kathy Deere of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Sarah Deere of Murfreesboro, TN, Laura Deere of Houston, TX, Lyndsey Deere and Andrew Deere of Bowling Green KY; sister, Melba Sharp of Linden, TN; several nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends Tuesday June 30th from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 2:30 with Dr. John Sharp and Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Maryville 202 West Lamar Alexander Pkwy.
