Edna Ward Heird

HEIRD, Edna Ward, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2003, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was a longtime resident of Blount County and a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll T. Heird and son, Robert W. Heird. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, William C. and Jane R. Heird of Houston, TX, James C. and Pat Heird of Ft. Collins, CO; daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and William R. Rice of Memphis, TN and Alice and Bill Snodgrass of Rogersville, TN; daughter-in-law, Antonietta Haralson of Maryville; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, A. L. Ward, Jr. of FL; sister, Alice Claiborne of Knoxville. A private graveside service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2003, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens followed by a 2:00 p.m. memorial service at New Providence Presbyterian Church.
