Edna Earle Witzel

Edna Earle Witzel, of Alcoa, died June 29, 2009, at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church Maryville, was employed in her earlier years as a secretary at ALCOA, Crum Insurance and Department of Human Services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Vernon Witzel; parents, A. C. and Fawn Nicely. She is survived by her son, Thomas Clifton (Tommy) Witzel; sister, Willie Ruth Atchley; uncle and aunt, Glen and Margaret Nicely; aunt, Edna Acuff; special cousins, Doris and Lawerence Ritter, Gary and Kathy Acuff, Martha and Deedle Walker and several other cousins; special friends, Christine and Ralph Patterson and family, Shirley and Harold Breeden and family, Tammy and Gary Presley and family, Elaine and Sankie Baldwin and family; brother-in-law, Maynard and Pat Witzel. Family and friends will meet at 2:30 p.m.Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Dr. John Franklin officiating.
