Edna Adams Millsaps Best, age 88 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at U. T. Medical Center. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church and was retired from the State of Tennessee McGhee Tyson Air Base. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest K. Best; son, Alan Best; parents, Arthur and Lou Ella Deaver Adams; brothers, Paul, Floyd, Ford, Windom, Ernest, and Lloyd Adams; sister, Hollis Wallace. Survivors include her daughter, Angela Salim of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Karen Millsaps Swanger of Dunlap, TN; step daughter and step son-in-law, Jane and David Atkins of Maryville; 4 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Blanche Boone of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:00 pm Sunday at Forest Hill Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
