Edith Marie Mull Grantham

Edith Marie Mull Grantham, age 96 of Maryville, TN, born in Isabella, TN, passed away March 17, 2010 in Maryville, TN. She was a lifelong artist who enjoyed painting for all of her family and friends. She was a member of the Everett Senior Citizens Center where she enjoyed painting with her friends every Wednesday afternoon. Also a member of the John T. O’Conner Senior Center where her “art” was displayed in the gift shop. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church for 55 years where she actively taught her Sunday School Class (The Ruth Class) up until 2008. Also served as the Chairperson for the “Friendly Club” at the church for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William Bruce Grantham, who passed away August 31, 1984; father and mother, James Mark and Mary Hester Long Mull; siblings, Ruth Mull, James Floyd Mull, William Lawrence Mull, Hoyt Paul Mull. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carolynn Mull Cunningham and Paul R. Cunningham, Sr.; grandchildren, Paul Roger Cunningham, Jr. (Jennifer Fox Cunningham) of Maryville, TN and Patty Cunningham Rietkovich (Michael Ty Rietkovich) of Savannah, Ga; great grandchildren, Kelli Catherine Rietkovich, Caroline Michaela Rietkovich, Haley Madison Cunningham. Mrs. Grantham’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life. “Goodnight Sweetheart”, I will see you in the morning”, was the phrase that she used in the funeral and obituary for her husband. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Knoxville for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
