Earl Phillips

Earl Phillips, age 90 of Maryville, TN, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church and retired from ALCOA after 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Texie Griffith Phillips of Mitchell County, NC; sisters, May Phillips and Ethel Helton; brothers, Carl, Roy, Ray and R.C. Phillips. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Irene Layman Phillips of Maryville, TN; devoted son, Tom Phillips of Maryville, TN; brother-in-law, Jehu Layman; numerous nephews and nieces. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Blount Dialysis Center for their 5 years of care. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Mantooth officiating. A private interment will be at Big Springs Cemetery.
