Dr. Richard Hale White

Dr. Richard Hale White, age 62, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully April 4, 2011. Dr. White, who was a loving husband, father, and friend of the Maryville community, will be missed by all who loved and knew him. His passion was his work, serving as a local family physician for 30 years in the Knoxville and Maryville communities. Through this practice, he developed countless valued friendships and touched many lives. A dedicated citizen, Dr. White was enlisted as a battalion surgeon with the 844th during the Gulf War. Dr. White was a member at Highland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer, his parents, Lonnie and Ruth, and brothers, Jack and Tony. Survivors are his wife, Kathy; son, Brian and daughter-in-law, Amy; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carolyn; sister-in-law, Betty; and nieces and nephews: Lori, Tara, Lon, Steve, Jackie, Melissa, Jeremy, and Zach. A Memorial Service will take place Thursday, April 7 at 7:00 pm at Highland Presbyterian Church, 721 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804, with Rev. Ann Owens Brunger officiating. Receiving of friends will follow. A family graveside service will be held prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Presbyterian Church, 721 E.
