Dr. Richard Albert Daugherty

November 15, 1944 — April 6, 2014

Dr. Richard Albert Daugherty, age 69 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014, at home. He was a graduate of Alcoa High School, The University of Tennessee, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. He owned and operated Airport Animal Clinic, where he practiced veterinary medicine for 40 years. He was past President of the Tennessee Cattlemen's Association, Blount County Livestock Association, Southeast Livestock Network, and Blount County 4H. He was a member of the Advisory Council for the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University until the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, Martha Callahan Daugherty; sons, Dr. Richard Andrew and Thomas Daugherty; grandson, Drew Daugherty; several cousins. A memorial service will be Sunday, April 13, 2014, 3:00 PM, at Maryville First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O.
