Dr. Donald Brackett Ross

Dr. Donald Brackett Ross, age 72 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, with his wife and family by his side. Donald was born to the late James Ralph and Elizabeth Beatrice Ross, June 27, 1941, in Maryville, TN. Donald graduated from Maryville High School in 1959. He graduated from East Tennessee State University with a BS in Finance. After college, he served his country honorably in the United States Army. Donald then went to Palmer College of Chiropractic to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. He returned home to Maryville, TN to take care of Blount County Citizens for over 38 years. He enjoyed life with his wife Paula, son Randy, daughter Sherry, and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ralph and Elizabeth Beatrice Ross; and his brother, James Edward Ross. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Paula Jean Ross; son, Randall Brackett Ross, of Powell; daughter, Sherry Frady, of Middlesboro; brothers, William Ralph Ross (Donna) of Many, LA, Steven Michael Ross (Laura Jean) of Chattanooga, and David Lynn Ross (Jill) of Rockford; sister-in-law, Sandy Ross, of Maryville; grandchildren, Alyssa Michelle Ross, Zaccary Brackett Ross, Cassidy Isabella Ross, Makenzee Alainna Ross, Kellen Garrett Ross, Ashley Danielle Frady, and Nickalus Ryan Frady; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Waddell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at Maryville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1301 E. Broadway, Maryville, TN 37804, to proceed to Grandview for a 1:00 p.m. interment service. The family will have a private viewing from 6-7:00 p.m. Friday.
