Dr. Albert Thomas Hall

HALL, Dr. Albert Thomas, age 86 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born in Gonzales, TX, and was a veteran of the Army/Air Force. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX, his graduate degree from the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1947. He practiced medicine in Lebanon, TN for 40 years, volunteered his medical service for students at Liberty Baptist College in Lynchburg, VA for 5 years and after his retirement and moving to Maryville, TN, 20 years ago, he opened up a medical clinic on Broadway and treated patients for 8 years. Dr. Hall was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church. He was a member of The Gideon’s Society for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Young Hall and brother, Young Hall. Survivors include: wife, Willie Marie Hall; son, Dr. George A. Hall of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth E. and Janie Hall of Knoxville, Ronnie and Jean Hall of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Betsy and Allen Snider of Maryville and Deborah and Neal Oakley of Lebanon, TN; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Green of Maryville, Clare Hall of Gonzales, TX, Mary Dawe of Wrightsboro, TX and Nell Wilson of Luling, TX. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Johnson officiating assisted by Jim Hall. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as Pall Bearers. The family requests no flowers and that memorials be made to the Gideon Society, P. O. Box 191, Alcoa, TN 37701-0191.
