Dorothy Mary Long Siler

Dorothy Mary Long Siler, age 89 of Maryville, passed into her heavenly home Tuesday afternoon at Kindred of Maryville. She was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist church for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Howard Siler, son-in-law Jerry Clark, parents, Hartsell and Lorena Long, siblings, Dallas Long (infant), Marvin Long (WWII), Elnora McClanahan, Kathleen Grubb and Paul Long, in-laws, Rev. Glenn Grubb, Henderson McClanahan, Mary Ruth Long, Edna and Everett Sheperd, and Joe Calloway. Survivors include daughters, Donna Clark, Phyllis (Carl) Henegar, Kelley (Jeff) Garner, son, Jim (Kumari) Siler, special God-daughter, Carol Joiner, grandchildren, Greg Clark, Rick (Cydney) Waltermyer, Tom (Sharon) Waltermyer , Dr. Kendra (Bill) Siler-Marsiglio, James Siler and Halie Garner, great-grandchildren, Sam (Taryn) Waltermyer and Phoenix Siler-Marsiglio, great-great grand-daughter, Avonlea Waltermyer, brothers, Joe (Ruth) Long and John Long, sister-in-laws, Rowena Long and Imogene Calloway, a host of special nieces and nephews and extended special family and friends who knew her as Dot Mammaw. We have a special thanks for devoted caregivers Courtney Fitzsimmons and Angel Donovan who helped her live in her little nest at home until early spring of this year. We also thank the caregivers and therapy technicians at Kindred of Maryville who loved her dearly and cared for her until her last moments. We would also like to thank Dr. Mark Green and Dr. John Ingram for their council, guidance and loving care. The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home from 12:30 until 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 6th with the funeral service at 2 p.m. Immediately after the service, we will proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the entombment. Services will be provided by Rev. Steve Hodges and a special farewell from Rev. Ron Martin.
