Dorothy "Dot" Jones Mullican

Dorothy ("Dot") Jones Mullican passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Akers Mullican, and her parents, Clyde Sutton Jones and Johnnie Ida Jones; son, Thomas Sutton Mullican; and brother, James Jones. She is survived by son, Bill Akers Mullican, daughter-in-law Ann Proffitt Mullican; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Mullican and grandson-in-law Ken Lovic, grandson Nicholas Thomas Mullican and granddaughter-in-law Nicole Mullican; and great-grandchildren, Casey Elizabeth Mullican, Riley Ann Mullican and Kade Woodfin Lovic. Also brothers Charles Jones and Clyde Jones. Dot was a devoted wife and avid cook, golfer, Lady Vols fan and bridge player. She was active in many community activities, including volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Blount County Children's Home and Knox Area Golf Association. Receiving of friends will be on Monday, August 25 from 4-5:30 at the Mullican residence in Maryville. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. (CST) on Tuesday, August 26, at Mt.View Cemetery, McMinnville, TN for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Blount Memorial Hospice (907 E.
