Dorothy Day, age 89, of Tallassee, passed away April 2, 2024, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was the owner of Dot's Fashion Fabrics. Dot loved sewing, fishing, bowling, bingo, and the VOLS! She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Day; daughter, Debbie LaRue; son, Donald Day.
She is survived by her son, Douglas E. Day; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
A private service was held on Saturday, April 6th at Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Zion Chapel Baptist Church, 3334 Zion Chapel Rd., Louisville, TN 37777.
