Dorothy Anne Heck Houlberg Anne Houlberg, 89, passed away June 17, 2018. Raised in, and a resident of Miami, FL, she also spent part of each of the past few years in Maryville. Anne loved music and played in an accordion band for USO and Red Cross units growing up. She obtained a BA in English from Dickinson College in 1950 and taught kindergarten in New York before moving back to Miami with her husband, Norm. There she began her career as Mom and homemaker. Her greatest joy was her family with whom she loved to laugh, learn and travel. In later years, she cherished friendships and helping others as she could. For her love and her example we are grateful. Anne leaves behind three children and three beloved spouses, Lynn and Ken Hawkins, Steve and Robin Houlberg and Nancy and George Yates; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Norm Houlberg, her parents and four siblings. The family will celebrate her life with a service in Miami at a later date.
