Dora Lee Irvin Millsaps

Dora Lee Irvin Millsaps, age 96 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Shannondale of Maryville. She had been a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville since June 1950, where she also taught Sunday School in the Childrens Department. She attended Union College in Berea, KY and taught elementary school in the Harlan, KY area. She married Ralph Millsaps in 1937 and moved to Maryville. She worked for the Chamber of Commerce in Blount County for many many years. Dora Lee loved nature and being outdoors. She enjoyed camping for many years in Cades Cove with her dog. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Robert Lee and Mary Elizabeth Smith Irvin. She was a beloved aunt who is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Dora Lee took individual interest in each one and loved them dearly. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Millsaps officiating.
