2-1-2003 Dora Ammons Harrill - age 70 of Maryville passed away Saturday, February 1, 2003 at home. Dora retired from Blount Memorial Hospital after 20 years service in the Cardiology Department where she made many friends. Her family will treasure her passionate interest in and tireless research in the genealogy of her family, which has culminated in the detailed record we have today. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl M. Ammons and Sophia B. Ammons; infant brother, Thomas D. Ammons; infant niece, Ruby Reed Vaughn. Survivors include her husband of 52 years Floyd Ray Harrill Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd Ray Jr. and Robin Harrill, Steve and Kathy Harrill, Michael and Jennifer Harrill; daughter, Lynne Harrill Hauk; grandchildren, Emily and Katie Harrill, Christie and Colin Harrill; sister Earline Ammons Vaughn; nieces and nephews, Betty McCampbell, Thomas Vaughn, James Vaughn, and Janice Reeves; sister-in-law and husband, Barbara and Max Phillips and family; brother-in-law, Larry Harrill and family. Family and friends will meet 2:00 P.M. Monday at Magnolia Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Carl White officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home. The family ask donations to the Blount County Library for books rather than flowers. She dearly loved God, her family and friends.
