Donnie Marie Best

Donnie Marie Leatherwood Best - age 72 of Maryville passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. Member of the Greenback # 401 Order of the Eastern Star and was retired from Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.A. and Clemia Leatherwood; brothers, Frank Leatherwood, Johnny Leatherwood, Leon Leatherwood, Rex Leatherwood, Grady Flynn and L.V. Flynn; sisters, Anna Belle Manning, Louise Hankins, Beulah Fancher, and Wilma Beasley. Survivors include her husband, Stanley E. Best; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Teresa Best; grandson and wife, Travis and Rachel Best; granddaughter, Katelyn Best; brother, Bobby Leatherwood; sisters-in-law, Margaret Leatherwood, Agnes Leatherwood all of Maryville, Jonelle Gilbert of Knoxville, and Thelma Harvey of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Chapel with Rev. R.M. Everett and Dr. Dale Ellenburg officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Carpenters Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
