Don Lippenberger went to be with his Heavenly Father and Son, Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Don was born in Redfield City, South Dakota on March 25, 1921. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl A. Lippenberger and Ida Hermann Lippenberger, his brother Raymond and his sister, Ruth. He is survived by his wife, Rae; his son, Carl and wife Ginger; daughter, Teri and husband Glen; 2 grandsons, Jason and Kyle; 2 granddaughters, Jenifer and Nikole and husband Derek; a sister, Lucille; a nephew and 4 nieces. He attended Iowa State University and received a degree in Chemical Engineering. He spent his entire working career with ALCOA starting in Cleveland, Ohio; transferring to Davenport, Iowa; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Druen, The Netherlands; and the Tennessee Plant where he became chief metallurgist before retiring in Beautiful East Tennessee. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Maryville at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday March 13th with the Reverends Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to: First United Methodist Church of Maryville, 804 Montvale Station Road, Maryville TN 37801.
