Donald Sjaarda

Donald Sjaarda, age 83 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was affiliated with Grandview Baptist Church and a retired electrical engineer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Fouse Sjaarda. Survivors include his wife, Peggy L. McClintock; children, Karen Sjaarda Bland and husband James Bland, Dr. Raymond Sjaarda and wife Dr. Terri Delay; grandchildren, Alexandra and Andrea; brothers, John Sjaarda and Marvin Sjaarda; stepsister, Ida Storer; step children, Kim Headrick, Col. Gary L. Bledsoe and wife Barbara, Jeri L. McClintock; friend, Karen Moore. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service with Rev. Terry Russell officiating. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux Center, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grandview Baptist Church, 2208 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803.
